My name is Carmen and I am 37 years old. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) a rare and aggressive type of cancer -I was diagnosed a year ago and it was one of the hardest things I had to hear. Not only for me but for my family. Living with cancer is different for every single person but we all hurt, whether it’s physical or emotional. It’s a constant roller coaster of feeling well then getting sick, feeling good and getting bad news, getting the good news but it’s not quite over yet.

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 due to the cancer aggressively spreading to my lymph nodes and bones, which caused some damage to my lower spine , pelvis and sternum. I was immediately put on treatment but after 6 months my treatment started to damage my liver , we now have to monitor that organ as well from now on.

This October will be one year from my diagnosis and I have done everything I can to better my life and be healthy, live happy, exercise, eat healthy food, and cut toxic foods out of our diet. My husband has been extremely helpful and has changed his entire life to help us through this and put our health first.

While I am determined to fight this battle with strength and hope, the financial stress of future treatment and insurance is weighing really heavily on me.

I am asking for a bit of help, as difficult and embarrassing this sounds I am asking for a little help.
