Our dear friend Carmen has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma at just 25 years old.

Anyone who knows Carmen knows how extraordinary she is. She is one of the funniest, most generous and warm-hearted people you could meet, she is always ready to show up for others, offer support, and bring light and laughter to any room she walks into.

Carmen has built a strong community around her because she gives so much of herself to the people in her life. She has always been someone who shows up when others are struggling, offering care, kindness, homour and encouragement when it’s needed most.

Right now, Carmen is facing an incredibly difficult journey. The illness has already begun to take a toll on her body. She is experiencing intense fatigue and is in a lot of constant pain. Working is becoming increasingly difficult while she begins treatment and focuses on recovery.

Carmen also cares for ten rescue cats, many of whom require ongoing veterinary care and daily support. These animals are deeply loved and part of her family, worrying about meeting their needs is a big weight for Carmen in her current situation.

This fundraiser is being created so Carmen can focus fully on healing without the overwhelming stress of financial pressure. The funds raised will help cover:

• Living expenses while she is unable to work

• Medical costs related to her cancer treatment

• Additional supportive or alternative therapies

• Food and veterinary care for her rescue cats
