On May 23, 2025, we lost a family member so dear to our hearts, Carmen Gonzalez, 99 years of age. She was not only a mother, great-grandmother, grandmother, wife, or sister. She was a huge part of the community, a Catholic woman faithful to God throughout her years. She was married to my grandfather for 62 years. One of the strongest women I know, she had ten kids of her own and fraternal twins (my mother and uncle), which she raised alongside my grandfather as her own kids since they lost their real mother at birth, which makes twelve kids. Six of her children sadly passed away a few years ago. Staying as strong as possible and positive, she pushed forward with her head held high. She is a real queen who devoted her life to helping others without expecting anything in return. She was the foundation of our family tree, and now heaven has gained another angel. We are looking to lay her to rest peacefully as she deserves the world for being the most caring, sweetest, selfless, and beautiful human being.
