Posting here to see if anyone can help out my sister and her family. We just welcomed baby Isabelle to the world Friday and Carmen Alexander had a C section which comes along with a recovery of its own. She was discharged home Sunday only to be there an hour before her, her husband David, my niece, nephew, and her new newborn evacuated out of McCook lake. They are safe (thank god) but do not have much with them and likely won’t be able to get home for a long time and will be staying with me until we figure out more.

They lived on north shore drive. Their house was removed from the flood plane a few years ago therefore they did not have coverage. As of right now we do not know the extent of the damage to the house and/or items inside. The road that lead to their house is destroyed leaving them to stay with me until the foreseeable future. Any funds from this will go directly to Carmen and her family. If you have any of the below items that would help as well.

- I am looking for:

- size 7 shirts in girls & 7/8 shorts/bottoms/pjs

- 4t clothes for boys

- baby girl clothes, she has newborn she said. But nothing else

-diapers, wipes (newborn/ size 1)

-sheets, blankets, dressers, anything helps!

My heart is so sad for her as this is how she is spending her first days with her new baby please keep them in your prayers and if you are able to help with any of the above please comment or text me and I can come pick up.
