Support Carmen After Rafael's Passing

Carmen Rivera's husband, Rafael, passed away on 4/6/25 after a long illness. He was 58 years old.

Carmen and Rafael met while both working at SVH Hospital. They fell in love and were married in 2016.

Unfortunately, 4 years ago, Rafael had a debilitating stroke, complicated by diabetes. This left him unable to work and in need of full-time care.

Carmen works full-time as a CNA at the hospital, taking care of critically ill patients. For the past 4 years, she would go home and take care of her husband, Rafael, until his passing.

During the past 4 years, despite Carmen working overtime and Rafael's small monthly disability check, the bills mounted. Now the disability checks have stopped, leaving Carmen unable to even have a service for Rafael or get caught up on the bills.

This GoFundMe is to help Carmen get caught up with the backed-up bills and to have a memorial service for Rafael.
