Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read about this GoFundMe. Carly, my girlfriend has had to deal with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) for her entire life beginning with the removal of both of her natural kidneys due to a birth defect & receiving a kidney transplant initially at 2 years old. This transplant unfortunately rejected - as is not uncommon & she had to have another transplant at 5 years old which she has managed to care for and sustain for 31 incredible years. Regrettably this kidney is not doing so well anymore and she is needing a transplant; While this is upsetting and disappointing, we were informed at one of her recent visits with the Transplant team that she got her Golden Ticket & they found her a kidney! This GoFundMe is to help alleviate some financial stress off her after the transplant  including a monthly premium to Medicare. I know regardless of what is donated she will be beyond grateful for your help as she is already beyond thankful to have this new chance to finally feel like herself again.
