Carly Rayne Gerry was a beautiful 12-year-old girl who filled every room with her vibrant spirit. She had many wonderful and supportive friends, and her love for the color pink was legendary—she was never seen without it, and she loved coloring her hair in all shades of pink. Carly was about to enter 8th grade, and she was incredibly artistic, creative, and smart, with her whole future ahead of her. She did great in school, attended Sunday school under the Catholic faith, and had a heart and soul that touched everyone she met. Carly loved music, skateboarding, Pringles, and Zebra Cakes. She was a complete goofball, always making us laugh, and she had a special way of giving everyone their own personal nickname—her stepdad Ken was lovingly called ‘Jenna.’
One of the most beautiful parts of Carly’s life was the bond she shared with her older sister, Alexia. They were not just siblings, but best friends who grew up side by side, supporting and loving each other through every moment. The connection between Carly and Alexia was unbreakable, and now, as we face life without Carly here on earth, we are all learning how to move forward while holding her memory close to our hearts. Carly’s absence is deeply felt, and we are committed to making sure Alexia has all the support she needs as she navigates this new reality. Carly was also blessed with a truly special friendship with her best friend, Ziah. The two of them were inseparable, sharing laughter, adventures, and countless memories. We want to give a special shout out to Ziah, who stood by Carly’s side through everything and brought so much joy into her life. Their friendship was a gift, and we are grateful for the love and support Ziah has shown our family.
After a courageous battle with liver failure, Carly passed away, leaving a space in our hearts that can never be filled. We were not financially prepared for funeral expenses, the sudden medical expenses, or the time off work that will be needed to grieve and support Alexia. Please consider donating or offering any support at all. No parents should ever have to lose a child. No child should ever lose their sibling. Anything that can be offered to relieve stress and allow us less worries while going through the most horrible nightmare of our lives would be greatly appreciated.
