Hi everyone, My name is Emalie. Recently my father in law Carlos was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has now spread to his stomach. A little backstory: Wednesday December 11th my mother in law took him to the Mesquite Emergency department because he couldn’t handle the pain anymore, from there he got a ct scan and found a cancer
tumor in his colon that has also spread to his stomach. they ended up doing a colonoscopy to figure out exactly how big the tumor was. It came back that it was the size of his colon and there was no wiggle room in the slightest. They ended up transferring him to St. George Intermountain Hospital where he has gone through another surgery to remove his colon and the tumor. He is currently still in the hospital trying to get the hang of this new normal, while slowly healing from surgery. He’s currently on a liquid diet trying to see the way his stomach and ostomy bag react to drinking. He is the sweetest man and will do anything for his family. He loves his family more than anything in this world. He has been a hardworking man and has been in landscaping for 20+ years, and owning his own landscaping business. He is well known around town as El Sinaloa. His life is now on pause and he is no longer allowed to work. We are asking for any kind of help if you feel inclined to for travel expenses due to my mother in law still working here in Mesquite and driving up after work as well to be with him, as well as hospital bills. We appreciate all of the support we’ve all been receiving, as well as everyone giving us grace for not responding as much. If you feel inclined to help we appreciate it so much more than you could image. Thank you.
