It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Carlos, who fought a brave and tireless two-year battle with cancer. Late last night, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.
Carlos was truly one of a kind. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, he brought light and laughter wherever he went. For the past 15 years, he worked as an administrator at a local board and care facility, dedicating himself to supporting adults with mental disabilities. His work wasn’t just a job—it was a calling. He and his wife, Dedre, often lovingly referred to their residents as their “angels on earth,” a reflection of the deep care and respect they held for them. Now, Carlos has become their angel in heaven, watching over them with that same quiet strength and love.
Carlos had a natural gift with children and a heart full of love for little ones. Whether it was his own four sons—Carlos Jr., Gabriel, Julian, and Elias—or the many children in the family, he was always the one making them laugh, playing on the floor, or offering a comforting word. He had a special way of making kids feel safe, seen, and unconditionally loved.
He was also known for his incredible sense of humor. Carlos loved to joke around and bring joy to every room he entered. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to find light even in the darkest times brought comfort and smiles to everyone around him.
Now, as his wife Dedre and their four sons begin the unimaginable journey of life without him, we are asking for your help. Donations will go toward funeral expenses, lingering medical bills, and easing the financial burden this heartbreaking loss brings.
If you are able, any contribution—big or small—will make a difference. If you’re not in a position to give, please share this page and keep Carlos’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
Carlos leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and humor that will never fade. He was the heart of his family and a true light in this world. He will be missed more than words can say—but he will never be forgotten.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. Services will be announced at a later date.
