Support Carlos' Recovery from Severe Injury

Update:

Carlos is doing really well thank God.

He is out of the hospital and adjusting to the new normal.

He has follow ups with neurologist.

He should be back to school in a couple weeks.

His mom is still out of work and by his side so lets continue to support them.

Hello, my name is Cynthia and I'm starting this fundraiser for my son's friend, Carlos.

Carlos is an amazing 18-year-old senior at South El Monte High School. He is a great friend, son, and overall great kid. He is on the track team and unfortunately, on Friday, April 18, he suffered a horrible accident. He was accidentally hit in the head with a 12lb metal shot put. He suffered a fractured skull and brain bleeding. His speech was severely compromised and he was rushed into surgery.

His mom is by his side and they need all the help they can get as she will be missing work to be with her son.

It is very unfortunate, and today, April 19, is prom and he will be missing this important milestone. Carlos' mom gave me permission to start this GoFundMe and all funds collected will be turned in to her. Carlos has a long road ahead of him starting with speech therapy, but he is a strong person and I know he will make a great comeback.
