Hello Everyone!
We first want to start by thanking each and every one of you for your continued thoughts, prayers and support you all have had for my brother Carlos. He's been dealing with health issues since July 2025. Carlos has been at his job since 2015. Warehouse work is all he’s known , he now has to find a new job to support his recovery era. We hope we would be able to ease some what of pain and wanted to help both physically and financially by creating this fund.
July 2025, my brother Carlos started feeling sick. It first started off with Carlos having lots of fatigue and sleepless nights. As weeks passed by, his symptoms started progressing. He started experiencing confusion, where he wasnt able to hold up a conversation because his speech began to slur. He then started experiencing hallucinations due to ammonia he had no idea he had. After the hallucinations came his hands and fingers began twitching at random, wasnt able to stand up straight anymore. My brother Carlos experienced lots of nauseousness and his body was always tired. One day he felt so sick where he wouldn't stop vomitting and knew something was definately wrong. He decided to go to the emergency room as his symptoms started progressing. There the Doctors ran numerous of tests. There they told Carlos his liver was failing, what looked to be end stage liver cirrhosis. They needed more labs to determine what would be the reason that a young 29 year old would be so sick so early in life. There they ran more labs and told Carlos his liver was failing due to an autoimmune disease. A disease attacks your liver and with only 1 person out of 100,000 are born with this autoimmune disease. After consulting with his Doctor, it was determined that no medications nor treatments would be able to cure his cirrhosis. There is no reason as to why this is happening, simply something that happens to anyone in life. Nothing he did nor didnt do that would have caused for this disease to happen. Carlos autoimmune disease kept progressing very quickly and the best medical advice was to get put on the transplant list immediately for a Liver Transplant. My brother Carlos is now awaiting a Liver Transplant. Theres no time telling when. So the waiting game begins...
With that being said, there are numerous medical expenses from medications, procedures to hospital stays, along with living situation. Lots of medications and continued tests will be on a horizon before and after his procedure. It will cause a financial burden for the forseeable future as it will take him a while til he is able to get back on his feet. We continue to see his day to day fight , which is why we decided we wanted to support his journey during this very difficult time. Anything is greatly appreciated. We are forever grateful for all the love and support you all have shown Carlos and our family during this incredibly difficult time. Many blessings to each and everyone of you! With God everything is possible!
We thank everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers!
