I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit to ask for your support during an incredibly challenging time for our family. My father, Carlos Colaco, has recently been diagnosed with leukemia, and our lives have been turned upside down as we navigate this difficult journey.

Twenty-three years ago, my parents made the brave decision to leave everything they knew in Brazil to seek a better life for us here in America. For as long as I can remember, it has always been our small family of four against the world. My father has worked tirelessly to build a life for us, putting everyone’s needs before his own. Now, he is facing the toughest fight of his life, and we need support more than ever before.

The costs of his medical treatments and care are overwhelming, and we are doing everything we can to provide him with the best possible support. Unfortunately, my father does not have health insurance, and we’ve encountered many obstacles in securing financial assistance for his treatment.

Since my mother underwent open heart surgery a few years ago, my dad has been the sole breadwinner, which has placed a significant emotional and financial strain on our family. Despite our efforts, we know that the costs will only continue to accumulate.

We have created this GoFundMe to help cover the mounting medical expenses, including treatments, hospital stays, and other related costs. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in alleviating the financial burden and allowing us to focus on my father’s care and recovery.
