Hello, my name is Christie Freda. I am trying to raise some money for my husband of 31 years.

First, let me tell you a little about Carlo Freda. Carlo joined the military out of high school. Carlo worked as a lineman from Kansas to New York, fixing power lines after every ice storm and hurricane. Carlo and I have raised 6 kids. We had 2 together, we took Carlo's sister's 2 kids when their parents died, and then we took my brother's 2 kids after he passed.

Carlo had to get on disability due to former injuries. We then learned my mama had dementia, so Carlo took care of my mama for 4 years until she passed in 2023 because I had to go to work to help pay bills.

Now we have learned that Carlo has stage 4 prostate cancer with neoplasm of the rib and hip bone. We have had to travel 180 miles to receive treatment, which has drained all of our savings. Not to mention the co-pays and food having to travel so much. This is going to be a long cancer journey. Carlo is still continuing medication treatment for his cancer, and we just finished 30 treatments of radiation. I had to take FMLA from work for 5 weeks to drive Carlo every day to radiation. This has also hurt us financially.

Our roof needs repairing; we have an estimate of $34,928.32 to fix our roof. Any help would be appreciated. We know times are hard on everyone.
