Support Carlos and Rafa's Recovery

This fund is being established for Carlos Cruz, his son Rafael Cruz, wife Dora Alvarado, & daughter Jackie Cruz so they can focus on Carlos and Raf's recovery from a terrible accident on 7/5.
Any funds donated here will be used to pay for medical expenses (e.g., helicopter transport to hospital, ICU stay, and surgery and burn treatment costs not covered by insurance); lost income during inability to work and recovery time; and other costs such as transportation, food, etc. the funds will be distributed to a bank account in Dora’s name do that she may meet the needs her family has during this time.
As you may know, Carlos and Rafa were badly hurt in an explosion on Thursday 7/5. They are currently being treated at MedStar DC ICU and burn unit and are undergoing a series of surgeries in the coming weeks. We don't know how long they will be in the hospital but understand it will be a long road to recovery given the severity of their injuries.

Their family is so wonderful to our children and extended families and want to do anything we can to help them during this difficult and scary time.
