My name is Carlos Chaves. I’m a disabled U.S. veteran and a tenant advocate currently fighting what I believe to be a retaliatory eviction after uncovering misuse of federal housing funds and violations involving defunct and unlicensed LLCs being used to collect rent and evict tenants.
Despite full payment and documentation, I was locked out of my tenant portal, cut off from communication, and taken to court — by an entity that I discovered isn’t even legally allowed to operate in Virginia.
I have filed an official lawsuit in Loudoun County Circuit Court, submitted an emergency injunction, and brought my case to the attention of the U.S. Senate and DOJ.
Right now, I’m facing imminent risk of homelessness if I can’t stop this. I’ve exhausted every avenue, I’m maxed out, and my legal filings have delayed any income from assistance. I need help covering:
• Filing fees and legal motions
• Emergency housing or relocation
• Printing, service, and mailing costs
• Survival costs if I am forced out
Any help you can give — whether $5 or simply sharing — means the world right now. I’m not giving up. I’m fighting for my rights and for the rights of others who don’t even know this is happening to them.
I’ve already submitted my full legal complaint, filed for sanctions, and exposed major irregularities — but I need support to keep going.
Thank you, truly, for standing with me.
