Carlos, a dear member of our film family, is always ready to lend a hand and bring his best to every project with a smile on his face. Only one week into shooting on our project in Raton, he was traveling home for the weekend when his life took an unexpected turn. On I-25, between Las Vegas and Santa Fe, Carlos was hit head on by another driver who had jumped the median. The severe accident destroyed his beloved truck and some of his personal belongings. Miraculously, Carlos was able to walk out of the hospital that night, mostly unscathed, but the experience has left him facing new challenges right before the holidays.

While grateful for his health, as Carlos recovers he now finds himself without a vehicle and the slow process of dealing with insurance means he could be without reliable transportation for some time. His truck was not just a means of getting from place to place—it was an essential part of his work and daily life. With the high cost of new and used vehicles, replacing it could prove difficult, and the loss of some belongings adds to the burden.

We are coming together to support Carlos as he recovers and gets back on his feet. The funds raised will go directly toward helping him replace his truck and recover some of the items lost in the accident.
