Support Carlene's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
At 52, Carlene stands as a beacon of hope and strength in our community. Her life has been a testament to resilience, always extending a helping hand to those in need. From a young age, Carlene has faced challenges head-on, dedicating her life to giving back to society. Today, she needs our support.
Carlene's journey has been marked by both joy and tragedy. She was blessed with two wonderful daughters, with the youngest still navigating high school. However, in 2013, her world was shattered when her husband was tragically taken from her in Jamaica. As a single mother, she took on the responsibility of providing for her family. Amidst this, she faced a debilitating accident in Kingston that severely injured her right knee. Over the years, the pain intensified, leading to the discovery of a 3rd-degree cartilage tear, three cysts, and complete cartilage erosion on both sides of her knee.
Despite the pain, Carlene continues to serve her community as a caregiver in the infant department, pushing through each day with determination. But the pain is becoming unbearable, even with medication.
We're sharing this with you with a heartfelt request to help Carlene undergo a much-needed knee replacement. A few years ago, the surgery was quoted at 1 million JMD (approx. 6,465 USD). However, a recent consultation with a specialist has indicated the cost has risen to 1.8 million JMD (11,638 USD). Our goal is to raise enough to cover her entire hospital bill.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings Carlene a step closer to a pain-free life. If you can't donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
Updates will be given as we can provide them!
