Support Carla's Fight: Surgery & Recovery

Friends & Family,

In April 2025, my best friend was diagnosed with invasive colonic adenoma carcinoma—basically colon cancer. I have been working with Carla for over 7 years now. She is a hardworking mother, grandmother, and wife. Next week, she will be going to Atlanta, which is 3 1/2 hours from our area, for her surgery to have the tumor removed. This isn’t just a removal; she is going to have a resection of her colon and a hysterectomy at the same time due to the tumor possibly being connected with her female parts. Carla's husband and siblings will be with her during this time. After the surgery, the doctors will determine what route of treatment she will need. We know she will be out of work for at least the next 6 weeks and probably longer. During this time, medical bills and household bills do not stop.
