Carla Perez is the kind of person who gives without hesitation. She has a true servant’s heart—always the first to step in, lend a hand, and lift others up. As a fierce and passionate educator at Lehman High School, Carla has impacted countless lives, shaping not just minds but hearts. Her students adore her, her coworkers respect her, and her family and friends cherish her deeply.
Last week, Carla wasn’t feeling well. She had a tight chest, trouble breathing, and extreme fatigue. She knew she needed to go to the hospital. In true Carla fashion, she didn’t ask for any help and drove her own self to the ER. Carla was immediately admitted and met with a myriad of scary diagnoses and even scarier unknowns.
Carla now has one of the toughest battles of her life- cancer. She is awaiting a full treatment plan because while the doctors know she has cancer, and that it has spread to many parts of her body, they do not know exactly where it originated. As of the time of this writing, she remains hospitalized. As she focuses on treatment, healing, and recovery, the financial burden of medical expenses and time away from work continues to grow.
We are asking for your help to support someone who has given so much to so many. Every donation, prayer, and share makes a difference and allows Carla to focus on what matters most—fighting, healing, and coming back stronger.
If you know Carla, you know her strength. If you don’t, trust that she is someone truly special and deserving of this support.
Let’s surround Carla with the same love and generosity she has always shown to others.
Please join us in our prayer for Carla:
Heavenly Father,
You say that we should ask you for whatever we need. For those who ask, it shall be given. To those who seek, it shall be found. To those who knock, the door shall be opened. So Lord, we ask you for the healing and recovery of our dear friend, Carla Perez.
Please be with her and her family.
For You are the healing God, we ask that You please bring calm and healing. You are the Comforter, so we ask that You please bring her comfort.
Please help her to find strength in You, whatever the circumstances may be.
May grace, mercy, and peace be with her from God the Father, from Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit in truth and love. May she feel how much we love her and have faith in you Lord. Amen.
