Ayuda a mi mamá en su lucha contra el lupus y la insuficiencia renal

Mi nombre es Juliana Cochamanidis y estoy recaudando fondos en nombre de mi mamá Carla Giovana Cochamanidis, quien ha estado luchando contra el lupus y la insuficiencia renal. Actualmente es paciente de diálisis y estamos en el proceso de ponerla en la lista de espera para un trasplante de riñón en Johns Hopkins.

Antes de comenzar la diálisis, mi mamá pasó por varias hospitalizaciones debido a complicaciones causadas por el lupus y la falla renal. Desde octubre de 2024 hasta el 27 de enero de 2025, estuvo internada varias veces en la unidad de cuidados intensivos intermedios (IMCU) sin tener seguro médico. Durante ese tiempo, lamentablemente, las facturas médicas se acumularon hasta alcanzar cerca de $100,000. Help My Mom in Her Fight Against Lupus and Kidney Failure

My name is Juliana Cochamanidis, and I’m raising funds on behalf of my mom, Carla Giovana Cochamanidis, who has been battling lupus and kidney failure. She is currently a dialysis patient, and we are in the process of getting her on the waiting list for a kidney transplant at Johns Hopkins.

Before starting dialysis, my mom went through several hospitalizations due to complications from lupus and kidney failure. From October 2024 to January 27, 2025, she was hospitalized multiple times in the intermediate care unit (IMCU) without having medical insurance. Unfortunately, during that time, her medical bills added up to nearly $100,000. With the help of the hospital and support from our family, we have managed to reduce and pay part of the debt, but the remaining costs have become overwhelming for us.

Although she is now more stable thanks to dialysis, the road ahead remains long and difficult. She continues to face the physical and emotional toll of her treatment while preparing for a potential kidney transplant.

We’ve done everything possible to manage these expenses, but we’ve reached a point where we need to ask for help. Any donation, no matter how small, is a tremendous help.

My mom is a very dedicated and creative person. Those who know her know how much she loves to draw and paint — she’s even made fashion and art designs for the nurses who have cared for her and continue to do so during dialysis. Her work is beautiful, especially her abstract paintings.
