Hi, I'm Ashley Binkley I am Carl and Roberta Fletchers daughter. My Dad is a brother to Mike Fletcher, spouse to Roberta Fletcher and the father to two children myself and my brother Walter Scott, and 6 grandchildren total. My father is one of kind, and knows no stranger. He is always the one filling the room with laughter and love and leaving you feeling like your cup is full. You will always find my dad on the floor with his grandchildren climbing all over him. It was an absolute tragedy when my dad had fallen light headed at work and passed out where he was rushed to the ER by paramedics. While in the ER they gave him X-rays and blood work to try and get answers to what must have happened. They ended up finding a large mass in him head that ended up measuring 3.5 cm, they ended up doing and MRI where they found that it was actually a little over 6 cm. After going to the Neurologist they learned that my father has Glioblastoma a very aggressive cancer giving him a life expectancy of 18 months. My father has decided to undergo surgery he is also going to be seen by a neuro-oncologist to receive radiation and chemo treatment and possibly clinical trials. Times are already hard financially for most and my parents work very hard to provide, this situation is hard financially due to no second income and medical bills on top of house payments and other things. My mother is discussing getting a second job which takes time away from my mom spending this time with my dad. They did apply for social security disability which is still pending approval and they found out once it is processed it takes up to 5 months to even recieve the first pay out. I wouldn't usually do this but I want my mother to be able to just relax and not think about the finances behind it all. Even just a little would help tremendously. Everything is a blessing. We are believing my dad is a rare case and a miracle happens. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you feel the need to give we are so thankfully for every little bit.
