This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My mom, Carisa Fulkerson, has been fighting cancer for years with more strength and grace than I can put into words. She’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone, even when she’s exhausted, hurting, or scared. She is the glue of our family, the comfort when things fall apart, and the quiet strength behind so many lives she’s touched.

Unfortunately, her cancer is back. Her doctors have outlined the next course of treatment, which will last six months. While this treatment offers hope, it also comes with a devastating reality: significant out-of-pocket medical costs. These are expenses not covered by insurance—medications, treatments, and care she needs simply to keep fighting. As a family, we are doing everything we can—but we can’t do this alone.
