Support Cari's Recovery from Stroke and Hemorrhage

Hi I’m Cari , I’m 41 yrs old and I’m not usually one to ask for help, but a lot of my friends suggested I should do this. On July 19th my world was turned upside down as I was eating dinner. I was rushed by squad to Mercy in Lorain and learned I was suffering from a stroke. I was in the hospital for 4 days and learned that I have suffered from several mini strokes prior to this. Nothing has been caused by my heart or vessels but they believe I have some kind of genetic blood disorder that they are trying to figure out. Since then, I’ve had to stop estrogen (birth control) since I’m on blood thinners and have suffered from hemorrhaging for almost two weeks now. As I was supposed to return to work finally on Wednesday August 6th I only made it a few hours into my shift and ended up in the ER receiving two units of blood. I am now off of work until at least August 18th. I have exhausted all my PTO due to my stroke and I’m waiting for short term to kick in. With my care team of cardiology, neurology, family doctor, hematology, gynecology, they are trying to figure out what caused all this to get me back to myself again.

My bills are adding up as I have not worked now since the middle of July. Any little bit will help. Thank you for reading my story.
