Support Carencro Families Devastated by Flood

Hello, my name is Jenna Swails. I am a mother of two. We are a family of five. We created this GoFundMe page for the catastrophic flood that happened in Carencro, Louisiana, on November 13th. We are trying to help three different families, including our own, by replacing items that were lost during this flood.

All three of our families lost bedding, beds, furniture in our living rooms, clothes, towels, our refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, and food. The children have lost their toys and tablets. It was my daughter's birthday, and we lost all of her birthday presents to the flood. It rained 4 inches per hour in Carencro, leading to 7 feet of rain altogether in the Acadiana area. My 8-year-old had to walk through chest-high water trying to get out of the flooded water, and it was waist-high on the adults. We had to evacuate. One of my neighbor's trucks and my truck both went underwater. We have standing water in our homes. We need help with supplies to also clean the dirty water from the overflowing toilets.

A little more about each family: The first family is a couple, a husband and a wife. The second family is a family of seven, three children and four adults. Lastly, my family consists of a family of five: myself, my husband, my disabled mother, and my two children.
