Support Care in Action USA

Hello Everyone! Care in Action USA is based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida started by a woman named Gloria Lewis. When Gloria came over to America at 24 years old from Barbados, she saw for her own eyes how many homeless people are left on the streets of America with no food, no shelter, and no help. God was calling her to make a difference. On a waitress's salary, she set out to buy, cook, and deliver meals for over 175 people weekly with the help of her husband, son, and a few local volunteers. Considering all of the expenses of food, water, disposable to go containers, etc. are coming out of her paycheck, it isn't possible for her to serve the amount of people in need. Every Saturday night Gloria stays up all night preparing all of these meals, and by Sunday at 9:30am she has a couple hundred people lined up waiting for her to receive their meal. Over the last 9 years she has personally served nearly 180,000 meals to people in need. Gloria's commendable drive to fix the problem of homelessness within America is inspiring and should motivate everyone to reflect on what they can do to be apart of the solution. Gloria says she is doing God's work and just helping her brothers and sisters, but she needs the financial help to keep going. Every small or big donation is feeding someone that never knows when they're getting their next meal. Please consider helping Gloria and her family continue this fight in reducing homelessness. Our goal is to reach $1,000 by the end of January and God willing, we pray Care in Action starts to receive more media attention nation wide.
