Hi everyone,
I’m raising funds for Cara Swan, who has been fighting cancer for over two years. Some of you already know her strength, her heart, and the way she shows up for everyone around her. Now she needs some support of her own.
Cara once wrote this shortly after her diagnosis:
*“I’ve spent the majority of the last couple of years angry at my body, feeling as though it had betrayed me. Wishing that I could have hung onto that childbirth high—the one where you feel invincible, realizing that our bodies are miraculous and capable of anything.
Looking back at those photos reminds me it’s okay to feel both. Maybe my body hasn’t betrayed me. Maybe it’s still miraculous, fighting like hell to heal and be well. Either way, I couldn’t be more grateful for my sweet miracle.”*
Despite everything, Cara has kept going—treatment after treatment, appointment after appointment, trying to hold her life together while staying present for her child. It’s exhausting, it’s expensive, and she would never ask for help herself. So I’m asking for her.
This fundraiser is to help cover the everyday strain that cancer dumps on a life:
Gas and parking for endless medical visits
Childcare when treatment wipes her out
Lost income
Basic living expenses that don’t stop just because life gets harder
The goal is $800. It’s not meant to solve everything—it’s meant to give her breathing room, support, and a reminder that she’s not fighting alone.
If you can contribute, thank you. If you can share this, thank you. Every bit of help matters right now.
Cara deserves some light after a long, hard fight.
