Hi everyone,
My name is Cara Carr, I’m 16 years old, and I’m chasing a dream that means everything to me — to become a professional dancer and eventually move to Los Angeles to pursue this as a full time career.
Dance has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I took my first class when I was just a little 3 year old tot, and something inside me just clicked. Since then, it’s been my passion, my escape, my joy, and my entire world. I’ve trained in all styles and I’ve dedicated thousands of hours to becoming the best version of myself both as a dancer and as a person.
This journey hasn’t been easy. There have been injuries, health setbacks, moments of self doubt, and sacrifices, weekends at home given up, hours spent rehearsing while others were relaxing. But no matter what, I keep going. Because I know this is what I was meant to do. Dance is how I express myself when words fall short. It’s where I feel the most alive.
My ultimate dream is to move to Los Angeles, train under the choreographers I’ve looked up to for years, and one day dance behind the artists who inspired me growing up. I want to perform on stages, in music videos, and on tours. I want to inspire others the way so many dancers have inspired me.
Right now, I’m at a point in my journey where I’ve been presented with amazing opportunities:
• Advanced training intensives
• National competitions and conventions
• Masterclasses in LA with top-level choreographers
• Professional auditions that could be career-changing
But all of this comes at a cost — travel, competitions, conventions, LA master classes, training programs, dancewear, audition fees, and eventually, relocation expenses. Although my parents work really hard and do all they can for me, It’s a lot for my family to handle on their own, which is why I’m asking for your support.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every dollar helps me take one step closer to making this dream a reality. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this page means the world to me and helps more than you know.
I’m working so hard every day to build a future doing what I love most. I believe in this dream with my whole heart, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got. I just need a little help getting there.
Thank you for reading my story, for believing in me, and for being a part of this journey.
With love and gratitude,
Cara
