Hi, my name is Ebony and I have an amazing friend who I’ve known for almost 15 years. His car has been out of commission for 6+ months now and isn’t worth the money needed to repair it. It’s been sitting idle ever since. Initially, this wasn’t an issue as he can walk to work and the town he lives in is small enough to traverse on foot.
However, as he’s been seeking employment elsewhere, he’s finding it harder and harder to do so due to no operational vehicle. He has the skills required to do many of the jobs around him but without a car to get to those workplaces, there’s no point in applying.
He’s the type of person who never asks for anything and works hard to provide for those in his care. He’s had to make a lot of sacrifices to ensure those around him didn’t go without what they needed, even if it meant he did. He’s the main provider for his household and never complains about it.
He never would ask for a handout and is a firm believer in earning his way.
As such, his health has been compromised more than once, resulting in numerous heart attacks - he’s mid 30s.
He suffered another heart attack recently, this time resulting in surgery to remove a blockage from his arteries, and is now recovering from that medical emergency and broken ribs due to the CPR that helped bring him back from death.
With future doctor appointments to follow up on his recovery, as well as checking medication and overall health, he will need to travel long distances and may not always be able to find assistance with getting a ride to these appointments. This is where raising funds to assist him with a car would be crucial.
He doesn’t need anything fancy - something simple that runs well, with no major issues that would simply cause more stress and financial concern. Just a reliable car that can get him from A to B without putting a hole in his wallet.
Any funds raised will be sent directly to him to help purchase a vehicle that would suit his needs best. Any donations, no matter how small, would be sincerely appreciated.
Trust me - he deserves this. And I know it will only increase his quality of life.
