Hey Capoeira Community ☀️

We are very fortunate to have received a grant for Capoeira by the City of a Chico! This grant will allow us to purchase several musical instruments for teaching, including drums and berimbaus for kids and adults, as well as a mirror for training and other costs related to running a martial art school. The grant is a matching grant which matches up to $2,540. We are hoping that our community would be open to donating towards our cause.

Thank you all for all the support you put into Pato and I; having a thriving Capoeira community is our dream and it is beautiful to see it in fruition. If you can donate or share, it would mean a great deal to improve our program.

the project of the grant to is called “ The Freedom that Capoeira brings” the entire project is focused on bringing Capoeira to communities who could benefit the most. This project will include a free class once a month for an entire year focusing on providing healthy movement, arts, cultural education and opportunities to connect and build community.
