Support Capital City Scooters' Recovery

One of my dearest friends was dealt a blow that no small business should have to suffer. In the early hours of April 26th several people broke into Capital City Scooters. Despite having an alarm system, the thieves were able to spend an hour stealing tens of thousands of dollars of scooters, e-bikes, tools, laptop, cash, credit cards and checks. They charged thousands of dollars on the credit cards and tried to cash checks. The alarm company did not call until over 5 hours later. Although insured, the insurance company will likely cover less than half of the loss. Not only did Capital City Scooters sell scooters and e-bikes but also serviced scooters. So, in addition to this huge loss, they have invested money to upgrade the security on the shop to help ensure the safety of the community’s bikes. This loss and expenditure is devastating for a small business. My friend Caitlin, is not one to ask for help easily, so on her behalf, I am creating this GoFundMe to hopefully cover some of what will not be covered by insurance. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated.
