Yesterday, the Capital Area Babe Ruth 16U All-Stars accomplished something these young athletes have dreamed about for years—they were crowned Maine State Champions! Their championship win has earned them the opportunity to represent Maine at the New England Regional Tournament in Stamford, Connecticut. The only challenge? They have just one week to raise the funds needed to get there.


This team is more than a roster of talented baseball players. Many of these boys have grown up together, playing side by side through School Ball and Babe Ruth. They’ve spent years developing not only their skills on the field but also friendships, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. They’ve celebrated victories, overcome disappointments, and learned what it means to work together toward a common goal. Now they’ve earned the chance to compete against the best teams in New England.
