Unleashing Potential: Cape Coral’s Youth Council Heads to Washington, D.C.!
Sixteen outstanding high school students from Cape Coral—our Youth Council—are heading to Washington, D.C., for the National League of Cities Youth Leadership Conference. Since 2017, the Council has advised City leaders on youth issues while building skills in leadership, professional development, and civic engagement.
This trip is more than a conference—it’s a transformative opportunity to sharpen public speaking, learn policymaking, and connect with young leaders nationwide. But funding is needed to cover registration, travel, lodging, meals, and educational activities.
Your donation directly supports:
• Transportation
• Hotel accommodations
• Meals
• Educational experiences (museums, historic sites)
• Other trip essentials
Every contribution invests in Cape Coral’s future leaders—helping them return with the skills, knowledge, and inspiration to strengthen our community.
Get involved:
• Attend a Youth Council meeting (2nd Friday, 3 p.m., City Hall Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd).
