Support CAPA's 2019 Musical: "Into the Woods"
Please support the spring 2019 production of "Into the Woods" at The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) by making a donation to our campaign!
The annual spring musical is one of the highlights of our academic year. The show is a collaborative work that brings together young people from all seven of our arts majors. It gives CAPA students the opportunity to work with accomplished directors and choreographers, and offers them invaluable experience in every aspect of presenting a professional Broadway show including auditions, vocal and instrumental performance, dance, set design, lighting, sound, costumes, props, and marketing.
Our 2019 show will be Stephen Sondheim’s Tony-award-winning musical Into the Woods. The full dress rehearsal for the show is on April 10 followed by performances on April 11, 12, 13, and 14. All shows are taking place in CAPA high school’s main theater located at 901 South Broad Street in Philadelphia.
Our budget for the show is just over $50,000. We our hoping to raise $10,000 of that total through our GoFundMe campaign. Other funds for the show are coming from ticket sales and the ongoing efforts of CAPA family, friends, teachers, and staff.
