Caola’s Canine Rescue is a new (10/25) nonprofit animal rescue located in central Pennsylvania. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise donations towards a vehicle to use in transporting the dogs. Since starting my rescue, I have used my own personal vehicle, which has since essentially been destroyed by the countless rescue missions and vet trips. I will post photos to show the damages, most of which are irreversible. My small four-door car is not ideal for this type of work, considering my rescues range in weight from 50-170 lbs. I’m hoping to raise enough for a type of transit van, one that can be easily cleaned, sanitized, and transport multiples, in crates if needed. The largest rescue mission I took on included 8 dogs, 4 chickens, 2 turtles, 2 lizards, 1 duck, and 1 rabbit. All taken from the same case at the same time. Many trips were required to accomplish this (all in one night) along with one volunteer who used her own personal vehicle as well. With the money raised, I will purchase something much more efficient for the work I do as well as make necessary repairs to my personal vehicle if any funds are left over. If I surpass my goal, I will put any remaining funds towards my Care Credit card (veterinarian care) as well as into an emergency fund. Many of you may remember Sherman’s story and the GoFundMe I started for him. All funds went towards his bill and paying down on my credit card expenses that have piled up since beginning in 2025. Many don’t realize that without donations and fundraising, this all comes out of our personal accounts. I would love to get ahead enough to be able to have emergency money for future cases as well.
