Support Canton, NC's Hurricane Recovery
Donation protected

I am a retired first responder and military veteran. I am trying to do what I can to help the town of Canton, North Carolina. I am no longer young or fit enough to offer physical assistance in disaster recovery efforts, so I am trying to raise funds to send funds and supplies to local members/organizations in the Canton community.
This fundraiser is to provide funds for clean-up and recovery operations for the residents of Canton, North Carolina. This area was hit hard during Hurricane Helene. There was extra damage created by flooding, heavy winds, mudslides, and power outages. Homes, buildings, and roads were destroyed, leaving many residents stranded in remote rural areas. There has been outside emergency assistance, but the majority of the clean-up will need to be done by the local residents. Please consider donating so that local residents can obtain materials to clean up such as fuel and parts for removing fallen trees, trash disposal, and clearing roads. Some of the items needed are chainsaw parts and accessories (fuel, chainsaw chains, sharpening files, protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection, heavy work gloves, boots) and clean-up supplies (heavy contractor garbage bags, bleach, flat-ended shovels, etc.) and water storage (water storage sacks, 5-gallon buckets, etc.).
100% of the donated funds will go either into purchasing and shipping supplies to Canton, NC, and/or transferred to trusted members of the Canton community to obtain materials that are impractical or prohibited from shipment (fuel, heavy, or larger items).
Thank you for your support.
