This campaign is for the benefit of Cal and Camryn and their growing family. More specifically, this is for Canon, their son and my God-Son.

When Canon was 2 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect, a subaortic membrane, which makes up 1% of all heart defects. The membrane obstructs blood flow to the left ventricular tract which interferes with the normal flow of blood. There is only one way to treat this and that is with open heart surgery. Canon, the trooper that he is, already underwent one open heart surgery, in October of 2024. With that surgery, there was a 25% chance that a recurrence would take place.

Moving forward to today, that recurrence happened. Canon is faced with another subaortic membrane, this time causing more obstruction. There is an obstacle of scar tissue to work around, which in turn could create more difficulties.

Cal and Camryn (also troopers, as I can only imagine the emotions along with walking with their son during these times and procedures) are hoping to complete the surgery in Miami, if possible. With this comes an extra cost, but is the best facility to handle a case like this. Taking this time to take care of Canon, will put them out of work for a combined month as their PTO will be exhausted.

Donations will help cove that missed work, bills, medical expenses, travel expenses to get the best care they can for Canon. Any donation towards the goal is incredibly appreciated by Cal and Camryn (and Canon of course), but prayers are incredibly appreciated and desired as well!
