Hi, our names are TJ and Melody and this is a fundraiser to help us alleviate the financial burden of the costly surgery to help our dog, Cannoli, recover from an accident that resulted in Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD).

On Friday, January 16th on her 7th birthday, Cannoli got way too excited and jumped up to try and reach her birthday treat. Unfortunately, Cannoli landed on her back and lost function of her back legs. This caused a disc to slip and pinch nerves. She needed immediate surgery, a surgery that cost $15,000 up front. We applied for care credit and got $8000 towards the surgery. We still have to pay that back, but we still need at least $8000 to bring her home.

On Saturday, January 17th, Cannoli went in for surgery to correct the IVDD. We saw her today, January 18th, and she has regained some function in her hind legs. Right now, the doctors & neurologists are making sure she is able to urinate on her own.

We try not to ask for much, but this was a huge & sudden hit to our bank accounts. With this happening after the holidays and us investing in repairing our leaky roof, the start of 2026 has not been kind to us. We sincerely thank everyone who took the time to read this. We also thank everyone for even thinking about Cannoli. She is my best friend in the entire world. We just want her to be okay.
