On Saturday night Canela went missing while I wasn’t home. Once I found out she was missing I rushed back home to look for her and after about 3 long hours we found her. However, she was limping badly with her left leg dragging behind her. She was also struggling to hold up her entire weight up. We rushed her to the emergency animal hospital. While they did an initial check, she still needs x-rays and possible further treatment—costs are expected to reach $3,000 or more.

She’s been my best friend for 8 years, through high school and college—my soul dog. It breaks my heart to see her in pain, but I can see she’s fighting to heal.
