My name is Nicole. I am trying to raise funds for an Anatolian shepherd mix named Candy. She was taken in as a foster situation and is finally getting ready to go live with her forever family, but before she can, she needs to undergo some professional dog training at a place called True Companion Dog Training.

Candy is very territorial and she does not like other dogs. She can be very aggressive toward them. In order for Candy to be adopted, she needs to be trained to get along with other dogs. Her aggression toward other dogs at her foster home proved that Candy’s training is a necessity if she is ever going to be able to live harmoniously with another dog.

It’s really important that this “forever home” works out for Candy. Her foster situation is not great. She does not get much human interaction or the necessary exercise she needs to maintain physical health. She needs a home to call her own, so she doesn’t have to be kenneled and crated all the time. Any contribution helps! She is scheduled to go to training on Jan. 21st for 3 weeks. Then she’ll be able to meet the people who want to adopt her. It is conditional though; they’ll only keep her if she can be trained to get along with the dog they already own. Candy has been at her foster home for nearly a year. So this opportunity will be life-changing for this sweet dog.
