Hello Everyone! Many of you know me and many know my story. My name is Candace, I am a 47-year-old mother of 4 and I have definitely seen and been through my share of hardships. I look at it as they have made me who I am today: a strong and independent woman. Many who know me would also say that’s my biggest flaw as it’s very hard for me to ask for help of any kind. Which is why doing this GoFundMe is incredibly hard for me but something I truly feel like God was telling me to do. It’s also my last resort.

Many of you know the last few months have been very hard. For those that don’t know, on June 20th I went in for what was a fairly routine surgery. That went well and recovery was going well until I began to have some pretty bad pain that put me back in the hospital only to find out I had a blood clot. After a few more tests, one blood clot turned into many blood clots and another surgery to try and get it under control. Again, after a hospital stay, I was sent home only to be back in the hospital again a week later where this time after some tests I was told I have a mass on my liver. All of this in a 2-month time frame.

Needless to say, I have missed more work than I had anticipated and it’s caused me to fall behind on my bills. I live a very modest life and I have worked very hard for what I have but right now I am on the verge of losing it all. If you know me well, you know this is the first time in a very long time, minus my health issues, that I am at a place in my life where I am at peace and I am comfortable. Because of my surgeries and hospital stays, I already had to make the hard decision to rehome my girl Belle. I’m not trying to lose everything else I worked so hard for, especially while I still have so much going on with my health.

I have really thought about and prayed on doing this and again I can’t stress how hard it is for me to ask for help. I know times are hard for everybody so I completely understand if you are not able to donate. If I make my goal, I will be eternally grateful and if I only make $10, I will be grateful. Even if you can’t donate, I would still ask for you to pray for me as I continue my journey and get to the bottom of what’s going on with me. Thank you and love you all.
