My name is Candace, and I’m reaching out because I recently faced unexpected heart issues that required me to have a pacemaker put in. After the pacemaker was placed, I was hospitalized again. After further testing it showed that I have three blockages in my heart. Those can possibly be treated with medicine. My doctor also told me that I’m gonna need to have cardiac therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. This experience has been overwhelming, both physically and emotionally, and it’s changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. As a parent of seven , I’ve always worked hard to provide for my family, but now my health has made that impossible for the next few months. It’s kinda like a mini nightmare. I’ve been hospitalized for the past two weeks. Finally am able to return home yesterday.

Because of my condition, I am unable to work for the next 3-4 months. The medical bills are already adding up, and I also need help covering transportation costs to get to and from my doctors and therapy appointments. Every day is a challenge, but I’m doing my best to stay strong for my kids and focus on my recovery.
