My name is Kathryn Machart and Candace Elliott Lundry is my best friend. I have known Candace for almost 15 years and would like to tell you a little bit about her.

Candace is one of the most genuine people I know with the biggest heart. If you know her, you know that she is a selfless individual and a friend that you can depend on whenever you are in need. She never meets a stranger and definitely has a "gift for gab." Candace is an incredibly hard worker and has a sense of perseverance that is something to be admired. Her resilience is one-of-a-kind, truly a force to be reckoned with.

As many of you may know, Candace has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy at MD Anderson. With the rigorous treatment Candace is receiving, she has had to step back from her business temporarily. As you can imagine, this puts significant stress on an already stressful situation. Candace is blessed with the loving support of her husband, Alex, who has been her rock during this trying time, as well as her family, who have been all-hands-on-deck upon receiving this news.

Over the past fifteen years, I have watched Candace start her own business, volunteer in her community, and support friends and other businesses however she can. For this reason, I am asking for family, friends, and the community that Candace has been so devoted to, to come together to support her as she has supported all of us.
