For whatever reason, some people are faced with a harder path in life than others and our baby sister Candace unfortunately is one such person. She has had to endure more heartache and pain than anyone should ever have to and she has done it with so much strength and grace.

Candace is a 37 year old single mom of 4 beautiful kids, ages 19, 6, 4, and 3. For over a year, she has been navigating an early stage Triple Negative Breast Cancer diagnosis, which very unexpectedly metastasized and has now progressed to stage 4. This particular type of cancer is extremely aggressive and challenging. Candace has already undergone several procedures and surgeries, and is facing treatment options like radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a host of integrative therapies. This illness and treatment schedule means she will be continuing to take time away from work to focus on healing and caring for her family and will be facing even greater financial challenges during this time. Candace and her family are facing catastrophic medical bills and other bills related to these treatments, including travel, lodging, food, and all that comes along with everyday normal expenses of a single income household of five.

Candace is an amazingly loving, giving person and mother. She has always helped anyone and everyone she can, anyway she can. The love and attention she selflessly gives to her family is an example for all of us to follow.

There comes a time when we could all use a little help, when the burden becomes too heavy, when the pain becomes too much, when the journey becomes too long. That is where you all come in. We ask that you help us carry her through, to ease the burden, and to allow her the opportunity to focus all her energy on this fight.
