Medical Debt

Here’s the post-cancer update:

I have had surgery (partial lumpectomy) and radiation.

And as of right now I am cancer free!

Hallelujah!

I am on a hormone therapy drug (tamoxifen) for five years. So far the side effects have been minimal.

I am so grateful for how early we caught this. And how amazing medical technology is right now to handle breast cancer.

I am also so grateful for so many people’s support with food and funds earlier this summer. It really made it doable to go through radiation and it supported my family so I could just focus on my health.

What we didn’t spend on food care we applied to medical bills.

Guess what there are more medical bills…. ah our American health care system.

Right now I am looking at $3,000 of medical debt I am trying to pay off.

We have had a couple of other curve balls this fall that make paying off this debt really stressful.
