Wild Energized Life (WEL) is a newly established non-profit in Alaska serving gynecologic and breast cancer survivors in a program called Extra Toughs. The women in the program are definitely extra tough, and we need your support as we wait for our 501(c)(3) status. The Extra Toughs program offered by WEL includes weekly small group customizable fitness classes, nutrition and mindset classes, and mental health support in a small group setting over 12 week cohorts. Life changes when we commit to our health, and the Extra Toughs are living testaments to this fact, as they decrease their rates of recurring cancer through weight loss, reduction in critical lab values, elevation of mindset and coping skills, and an enhancement in community support and friendships. Although WEL is new, the Extra Toughs program has existed for 10+ years, and as such has a proven track record of success.
