On Saturday morning, my coworker and friend Camy experienced a life-changing accident while using a table saw. In a matter of moments, she lost her left middle and ring fingers above the middle joints, and her pinky finger at the top joint. Her index finger was severely injured but, thankfully, was able to remain attached. Camy now faces multiple fractures in her index finger and in what remains of her other three fingers. She is currently in a cast, which will stay on for two weeks, and after that, she will need another surgery to fuse the joints of her index finger together with rods and pins. This will be followed by another cast for four to six weeks, and she will require extensive physical and occupational therapy to regain as much function in her hand as possible.

The road ahead for Camy is long and challenging. She will be unable to work for an extended period, and the medical bills are already adding up. The funds raised here will go directly toward her medical expenses and help cover her time away from work, so she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial worries. Camy is the kind of person who would help anyone in a situation like hers, and now she needs our support more than ever.
