My name is Jeremy DeHerrera and I am the Head Wrestling Coach at Denver North High School. I am starting this GoFundMe for one of my current wrestlers, Cameron Vallejos-Meredith. A few weeks back, Cam attended the Colorado freestyle/greco national qualifying wrestling tournament. At that time, Cam was able to win both disciplines in freestyle and greco. As a result, Cam earned a spot to represent the State of Colorado on their National Dual Team and Fargo team at 113 pounds. From my recollection, Cam is the first wrestler from North High to earn the privilege of representing Colorado on this team.

Cam has been raised by his grandparents, where one is retired and the other is very close to retirement as well. Thus, finances are a big concern, and the costs to attend these tournaments would put a financial burden on the family as funds are needed for travel, lodging, team gear, team camps, and all of those hidden fees that always seem to pop up.

Cam is a very dedicated and hardworking individual who will be entering his senior season this upcoming school year. This opportunity can provide him the exposure to colleges for future scholarships and also give him the opportunity to represent the State of Colorado.
