Hello! I’m Sherry Teas, a licensed wildlife rehabilitator with over 10 years of experience and a passion for caring for songbirds. I’m thrilled to share that my dream of creating a dedicated wildlife center for wild bird rescue, rehabilitation, and release is finally taking flight!

Camp Wildernest Wildlife Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is moving to a beautiful 3.4-acre wooded property — the perfect place to expand our mission. The 1950s home on-site will be transformed into our new wild bird clinic and education center, serving as a lifeline for over 1,400 injured and orphaned birds each year.

Right now, the property needs major repairs before it can safely house recovering wildlife — and that’s where your help makes all the difference.

‍Why Your Support Matters

Camp Wildernest is the only wild bird rehabilitation center serving the greater Chattanooga and East Tennessee region, providing specialized care for injured and orphaned native bird species. Many birds are transported from nearby cities such as Knoxville, as well as from the Tri-Cities area—including Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol—to receive treatment in Chattanooga.
