Dear Friends of Camp Sarah (Nigeria),

We are so excited to launch our fundraising campaign for Camp Sarah 2025 which will take place from August 11-23, 2025 at Tikvat Yisrael in Abuja, Nigeria for about 100 campers.
  • A gift of $250 sponsors one camper for the summer
  • A gift of $500 contributes to the cost of transportation for one week
  • A gift of $750 underwrites educational materials and art supplies
  • A gift of $2,000 underwrites staff leadership training
This year we are thrilled to partner with the Jewish Collaborative of Orange County Ikaron Initiative which is serving as our fiscal sponsor so that US based donors can make tax-deductible donations to Camp Sarah.

What's special this year?
  • In addition to the four age groups (from 4 - 16 years old) we will also host the first cohort of counselors-in-training (17-18 years old).
  • Camp Sarah’s 30 staff will undergo an intensive 3-day leadership training and will receive mentorship and skills building support throughout their journey as youth leaders.
  • Rabbi Gershom Sizomu, of Uganda’s Abuyadaya community will join camp as our Rabbi in residence.
  • We will welcome a limited number of international staff to forge lasting connections across global Jewish communities.
  • We will have a summer full of music and dance, culminating in our first zimriah/rikudiah!
  • By popular demand, Maccabiah (color wars) will return…. Will team Adom win again?

Founded in 2023 as a Jewish educational and cultural day camp for youth from the Nigerian Jewish community, Camp Sarah is a 2-week immersive experience that fosters a connection to Jewish culture and provides a unique, transformative experience for young people to connect with their Jewish heritage, faith, and establish lifelong friendships in a vibrant African setting. It is named in the memory of Charlotte Isser z"l, beloved life long Jewish educator and camp enthusiast, whose creative ideas, strong values and kind patience inspire us every day.
