The Goal - To improve the working environment at Camp Restore in Clyde, NC, by implementing two 40’ shipping containers with an awning that provides shelter for an area that is 40’ in length.

Camp Restore is a distribution site of life necessities to thousands in the Town of Clyde and the area that surrounds it.

I’m Robert Robbins. I actually reside on the Outer Banks of NC. After the horrors that came with Hurricane Helene, I felt the push to volunteer my time to the relief efforts as much as I could. After multiple trips to western NC, I recently found myself at Camp Restore. Let's just say that it didn’t take long for Chris Grigg and his team to not only earn my respect but a piece of my heart as well.

I consider myself to be a man of my word. I made a promise to these individuals that are operating Camp Restore, and I intend to keep that promise. I promised that I would not only do everything I can to bring awareness to the conditions of this area, but I’d also do my part to improve it. This site is the lifeline to not only the Town of Clyde, but the surrounding area as well. When you look at the images that are attached, keep in mind that this site represents the grocery store, the hardware store, the pet store, the clothing store, and so on. The only source of power is being supplied by a generator. Now take a moment and ask yourself what it must be like to operate when the weather is anything but ideal. These people need help desperately. They are open for business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I’m not accustomed to asking for help, let alone your hard-earned money, but this is a little different scenario.
